MLCommons and Science WG Rules
- After Tao introduction, the meeting was devoted to discussing the policy document describing our benchmarks. This centered on questions from Mattson given below
- Clarify inference vs. training separation in draft
- Fixed dataset?
- Fixed target accuracy?
- Hyperparameter scaling?
- Why performance at all? (Consider fixed time, variable accuracy)
- Relation to HPC working group
- Submission log format
- Submission review process
- Submission schedule
- The resultant draft Response to Peter Mattson’s comments https://docs.google.com/document/d/1uD4TjEja74G7CTqDgSiDUF7chteqecBkyBBjcJLmXPM/edit?usp=sharing
- This was discussed with Peter later in the day resulting in a revised set of responses https://docs.google.com/document/d/1ioE8bs_oQ5yJj1ydgEUsQqIrvwJQt1J0Zic6pgBsoFA/edit?usp=sharing
