Tentative Agenda
- Any new members
- Status of 4 Benchmarks: Policy/Submission Rules Schedules
- Policy https://github.com/mlcommons/science/blob/main/policy.adoc
- Submission https://github.com/mlcommons/science/blob/main/submit.adoc
- ACTION ITEM We agreed that we should add suggestions and comments to benchmarks to identify promising approaches to improving science; where did we try and fail? What did we not look at but think was interesting?
- Futures -- new benchmarks
- ACTION ITEM We agreed to draft a call for new benchmarks
- ACTION ITEM: Send any suggestions (either text or places to send it) so we can draft an announcement combining the current 4 benchmarks and call for new benchmarks

Discussion
- We had a shorter discussion than normal. Gregor gave our main links
- https://mlcommons.org/en/groups/research-science/
- https://github.com/mlcommons/science/issues/43
- https://github.com/laszewsk/mlcommons/blob/main/webpage/frontpage-v4.md
- We have 4 benchmnarks and a policy document and a submission document
- Tom Gibbs explained the Industry concern that they wish to avoid too many new benchmarks that go in RFP’s or be perceived as needed to be optimized on a particular system
- Mitigating this issue included adding to our website that the intention is that Science entries not be perceived as a a conventional performance benchmark
- The Bibtex for H3 paper H3_paper_1173.pdf is
@INPROCEEDINGS{h3paper,
title \= "{AI} Benchmarking for Science: Efforts from the
{MLCommons} Science Working Group",
booktitle \= "2022 {WORKSHOP}: {HPC} {ON} {HETEROGENEOUS} {HARDWARE}

- Piotr clarified that it could be put on arxiv if it references the future Springer LNCS version
